Why We Fundraise
At American Legion Dorie Miller Post 194 and Auxiliary Unit 194, fundraising is more than an event—it is an investment in our community. Every dollar raised helps us extend the spirit of service beyond our meeting halls and into the lives of our neighbors.
Through the generosity of our members, supporters, and community partners, we help prepare local students for success with back-to-school donations, provide warm winter coats to families in South Arlington, enrich elementary school libraries with books during National Education Week, and deliver Thanksgiving baskets to families experiencing hardship. These initiatives reflect our enduring commitment to children, and the broader Arlington community with compassion, dignity, and purpose.
Together, we honor the legacy of our namesake, Officer Dorie Miller, by transforming service into action and strengthening the community we proudly call home. Every fundraiser makes a difference, every volunteer leaves an impact, and every act of generosity helps build a brighter future.
